Mission
STEAM Milwaukee's Lend-a-Lab Program makes joyful, hands-on learning materials for science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics accessible to every student, every day.
Model
STEAM Milwaukee’s Lend-a-Lab program is a resource library and educator learning hub to support hands-on STEAM activities. We rent out hands-on kits (e.g., classroom sets of LEGO Spike Prime robots, micro-controllers, scientific probes and sensors, math activities, a portable MakerCart), many of which come with lesson plans, slides, and handouts.
We maintain, organize, deliver, and collect the materials, saving schools and teachers time and money and reducing the environmental impact of electronics-based kits. We also offer educator learning opportunities to help educators feel confident using these materials with their learners.
